Guinness
I’m a big fan of Guinness beer. I would name black dog or black cat “Guinness”, if I could have them. I can’t wait Guinness Brewery Chicago is coming summer 2023. I’m so looking forward going there!
Guinness Glaze
Guinness glaze is a rich and flavorful sauce made with Guinness stout, a type of dark beer that originated in Ireland. The glaze is often used to add a savory and slightly sweet taste to meats, particularly beef and pork.
To make Guinness glaze, Guinness stout is combined with other ingredients such as brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and spices. The mixture is then simmered until it thickens into a syrupy consistency. The resulting glaze has a deep, rich flavor with notes of caramel, molasses, and a hint of bitterness from the stout.
Guinness glaze is commonly used as a marinade or sauce for grilled or roasted meats, and can also be brushed over vegetables or used as a dipping sauce for bread. It pairs particularly well with beef dishes such as steak or burgers, and can also be used to glaze pork chops or ribs.
Aside from its rich flavor, Guinness glaze also has health benefits. Guinness stout contains antioxidants and flavonoids that have been shown to reduce inflammation and improve cardiovascular health. However, it’s important to note that the alcohol content in the beer is cooked off during the glazing process, so the resulting glaze is non-alcoholic.
Overall, Guinness glaze is a delicious and versatile sauce that can add a unique depth of flavor to a variety of dishes.
I had a great Guinness Glazed Burger at Irish pub, and loved it!! So, I did copycat the recipe. It came out so delicious! I make this glaze, put into a jar, and keep it in the fridge.
