Panko

Hello there fellow food enthusiasts! Today, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite secret ingredients for achieving crispy and crunchy dishes: Panko! If you haven’t had the chance to try it out yet, you’re definitely missing out.

Panko is a type of Japanese breadcrumb that’s airy, light, and has a coarser texture than traditional breadcrumbs. It’s made from crustless bread that’s been ground into flakes and toasted to achieve its signature golden color and satisfying crunch. Panko adds an extra element of texture to everything from fried chicken and fish to vegetables and tofu.

The versatility of panko is one of the many reasons I love it so much. You can use it as a coating for any dish you want to achieve a crispy texture with. What’s more, it’s a healthier option than regular breadcrumbs since it absorbs less oil and contains fewer calories.

Another great aspect of panko is how easy it is to use. Simply dip your food in egg, milk or a wet batter, then coat it in panko, and bake or fry until golden brown and crispy.

So, if you want to elevate your cooking game and add some delightful crunch to your meals, give panko a try. You can find it at most grocery stores in the Asian food section, or you can even make it at home. I promise you and your taste buds won’t be disappointed!
