Ingredients
  

For the Stir Fry

  • 1.5 lbs beef steak cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 12 oz fresh green beans
  • 1 onion cut into bite-size pieces

For the Marinade

  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp potato starch

For the Sauce

  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Tobanjan chili bean paste
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp water

For Serving

  • Sesame seeds
  • Cooked rice

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix beef with sake, soy sauce, and potato starch. Let marinate for 15–20 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, combine all sauce ingredients and set aside.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Stir-fry beef until browned, then transfer to a plate.
  • In the same pan, stir-fry green beans and onion until tender-crisp.
  • Return beef to the pan and pour in the sauce. Toss everything together until evenly coated and glossy.
  • Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
